Making software is hard.

I hope to make it easier for people.

Hi, I'm Samir Talwar.

I'm an automation engineer, focusing on removing bottlenecks, improving team cohesion, and improving delivery time.

I've been a CTO, a software engineer, and a project manager, but I tend to fill whatever role needs filling. During my time as a startup founder, I was the web designer and de-facto accountant too.

I enjoy writing a lot.

I typically work with functional code, especially in Haskell and Rust, but I'm not picky, and I often find myself wrangling Jira into shape, writing shell scripts to connect deployment pipelines, or setting up a Nix cache. I go where the bottlenecks are. I am not bad at delivering functionality, but I'm much better at enabling the rest of the team to deliver the functionality twice as fast.

If you'd like to talk about how I can help you or your team make things better, and in doing so, make better things, please get in touch by email or on the fediverse.
